Free Coloring Pages for Kids and Parenting TipsHow do you run a business and homeschool six kids? And twins? Yeah, it’s not easy, but it can be done.

Everyone always says how boys are so much different than girls, and since my older four are all girls, the only experience I’d had with boys were my nephews and younger cousins.  When my twins were born, there were so many things that are unbelievably different, some of which I wouldn’t even have noticed had they not been born twins, such as the amazing difference in even the baby smell, for example.

Going out, we constantly get looks from people counting the heads in my little parade and questions of “how do you do it?!” to which I simply smile without a complete answer.  And then, of course, when I add that I homeschool as well, the eyes from strangers grow even wider!  Had I been able to, I would have six more.  No, it’s not easy, but, no, it’s not hard either.

Each of the children are a wonderful blessing and as long as the time is taken to teach, condition and train them how to behave, starting from birth, they are a joy to be around.

As far as homeschool, my approach is very eclectic.  There are so many ways that children learn, and even as individuals they learn each subject differently, so remaining flexible with a variety of learning styles, resources and curriculum is important.  Homeschool is a lifestyle, not something I do for so many hours each day, so many days a week – I homeschool the same hours and days as I’m a parent.  Learning opportunities are everywhere, all the time.

I have a great time with my children and enjoy raising them each as individuals with all their little quirks and adventurous moments.
